Limewire is notorious for viruses, the safest way to download music is by using bittorents but you can only normally download full albums, you can then pick what you like to put on your MP3 player. You'll need a Bittorent client (the programme that manages and does the downloading) and a Bittorent search engine. Do a couple of google searches unfortunately I can't really recommend the best client but I think they all work ok. Much safer. (Just had a shufty) Clients - Azureus, Bittorrent, BitPump and uTorrent seem ok take your pick and download one. To find torrents you can search from within the client thingy, use google by typing name of song then torrent or find a dedicated Torrent search engine isohunt.com/ is a good one.

Also www.slsknet.org - Easy to use and seems friendly. Worth a look for more obscure stuff. Have a good holiday.
