Been busy over the last year working on perfecting colours and trying different paints and varnishes to get a nice finish to any of the devons I refurbish.Yes I take an old battered devon and get it looking like new. No trees cut down to keep me going in devon shells. I also refurbish alloy devons as well. have put a wee pic up of some of the colours I have managed to come up with over the last 12 months. Not in it to make money I love just making the devons look good again and when you take the best part of a week to totally finish a devon to allow drying times then you can see its not a financially astute business prospect lol.Ohhh yes and not a spray paint in sight they are all hand finished from start to finish.

You must be very sad when you lose one on the bottom of the river having put so much time and effort into them. I wish I had known about you sooner. I just got shot of a load of about 100 wooden and metal devons last winter to a dealer.

yes you do lose a few more than you do when fly fishing although I have flown a few flies to their leafy grave on more occasions than I wish to remember up some leafy oak tree with a bonny trout rising below it. I love doing them and keeps me from getting weary over the long winter evenings.
