Just been looking around and Imgur seems a really popular alternative to Photobucket. I have never used it personally so cannot vouch for it. I do find it encouraging though that there are alternatives around. I might even consider cancelling my monthly Photobucket Pro subscription.

I'm very concerned about the lack of photo facility and even more concerned about the loss of such a valuable resource, built up over many years. That's the main point right there, the time and effort that some posters have put into their excellent forum reports and images makes it criminal for PB to have sold them out in this manner. Facebook will never replace some of the searchable content that is hosted on here.

I really need to get this image thing sorted. Got a barry load of pics waiting to post. Still need to get my head around how to view (or be made viewable) my existing pics without having to pay Photobucket. Unless I've misunderstood, I have a chance of 'rescuing' my images by using the 'Chrome' thing. Hopefully the long nights will allow me to explore that particular possibility further. Hmmm....

Any progress Andy? Its getting lonely on here as one of the few yet to be hijacked by photobucket. I've started backing up my photo's just in case. Rob

No further progress as yet Rob. Now that the Esk's have closed maybe i'll find the time to sort something. Still hoping that the 'Chrome' thing as mentioned previously by Spaterunner ? will help. It's all very disheartening - especially as I have a fair few pics to post.
Oddly enough I received an email from Photobucket the other day telling me that I had almost reached my limit in terms of storage space - like they aren't aware that they've already stopped me from 'third party hosting' !!? Needless to say I replied in a less than constructive manner - granted, maybe not the best thing to do.

I just tried the above link- after moving my browser from Safari to Chrome- and it didnt work, however, I googled <<Photobucket embed fix>> and found a more recent link. It works! I can now see all Grahams pic's- and everyone elses- that have been missing for the last 6 months or so. Google Chrome seems better too! Rob
