I'm as guilty as anyone for not visiting this site, but it does seem to have ground to a halt, I used to browse this site every day, but because of a short stay in hospital and still awaiting surgery, my Salmon fishing has been seriously curtailed, mobility making some old beats out of bounds for a short while. Can we have a roll call of folks still visiting the site and see if we can resurrect what was once a mine of information and good banter.

I still call in Burnie, every morning before work. As you say, it used to be mine os information, but sadly that is no longer. I think Facebook is to blame sadly.

I don't do facebook, it seems to have killed off a sea angling forum I use as well, pity, but I can manage without it, the site is obviously still visited, plenty of views of this thread, but only your reply. I hope to get out soon if this drop of rain lifts the water, possibly on the Dee

I came back here after closing my account following a disagreement with another member. I also post in the other place. I don't wish to get uppity or speak out of turn but it seems that a lot of Members from this Forum post freely on there but no longer seem to post on here much or at all. I don't preclude myself from this as I am as guilty as anybody else. You can blame Facepuke if you like but I don't think that it is the cause and personally I don't use it at all. I know quite a few people in the other Forum don't use it either. They still post in the other Forum. I tried getting a fly swap going in here earlier this year and got absolute zero uptake. Sorry folks but it seems nobody really gives a rats arse in here any more. I don't wish any of you any offence but if nobody posts then it seems a bit silly to expect the place to just come alive again by itself.

i used to post mostly on the other forum but very seldom use it now as 98% oh the posts are no longer of interest to me.Am not interested in Dee smolts. fly line recommendations. or arguing if there are more or less salmon now a days. or hearing about a fish counter on the north esk that seems to be as reliable as a austin princess.
At least looking through the old posts on here it was about fishing and some cracking photos. Shame the way it is now but with FB,Instgram,Tweeter and most top beats having ah FB page a guess the forums probably have had there day. Perhaps a face book or Instagram link for pics like the tweedbeats website may be a option to get some interest.
Just my tuppence worth.

I still look in about once a week. Must admit it's been very quiet lately.

It's quiet - nae doot aboot that. Considering I don't post 'elsewhere', I really have no excuses for not posting more often on here. Its just a case of finding the time. If this forum is to be valued and kept 'alive' then it's really down to us - the membership.
I, for one, will try to at least drop in some pics from time to time on a more regular basis - how about you ?

It's not my forum, but I just remember the help and friendliness that I received when I first stumbled onto this site, be a shame if it vanished was all I was thinking. I have been a member of the other forum and have posted there recently, but I'm sure there's room for more than one home where like minded anglers can have a blether?

I think the 'insert image' tab is for posting images directly from your computer to the Forum. If you are posting from an image hosting site then it's just a case of copying and pasting the link directly in the main text area and it should just load up the image.

Just had a look at the other forum and a fight is about to begin over who posts what on who's thread, all about the Junction pool, never seen that on here, we seem a much more civilized bunch(some folk seem to need a good slap sometimes).

Find that there is only so much you can talk about that makes sense. My local angling club [Walton Angling Club] started a face book page but is also dead. To many experts on the S.F.F. for a 60 years beginner for me. Bob.

Well I'm still here and hope to get out this coming season, just hope we get some half decent water levels and that the fish can get through the swarms of seals that seem to be getting larger in numbers every year. There were 40 of them in Montrose basin the other day!!
