Hopefully the mild and relatively flood free winter so far will give the spawners a good chance to do their job and hopefully a few 2019 models for opening day.
All the best to all venturing out on opening day.

I'll be out on opening day in a working capacity on LK. The river looks in decent ply at present - here's hoping.

Well, as your all probably aware, the opening day catches didnt exactly set the heather alight. Pity, as the conditions were generally favourable. Mind you, opening day 'effort' (after the heilan flings, speeches, late starts, long lunches and short afternoons) generally doesn't amount to much. Today might be different. Saturday should be 'telling' if the weather stays kind. Best we could manage was a 4lb brownie. It's early days. Cheers A. A couple of LK opening day pics.
