Sounds good to me . I can't wait to get the big rod out at the start of the season, just counting down the days now .

I got a 12ft Loop from the burd and intend using it on the wee river on Knoydart which runs oot of the Dubh Loch. Onybody ever nin there!? That's the Inverie, and yes, I've fished both it and the Guserein on Knoydart. The Inverie is much less spatey than the Guserain, and I've had fish out of it in low water conditions as well as high. But it's a small river, and to be honest I think that even a 12' rod would be more than you need, even in a spate. I used a single hander there and didn't feel undergunned, although my best fish was somewhere around the 14lb mark. In low water you need to be a bit stealthy. It's about 20 years since I fished there. How's the fishing these days? I know it had a bad patch (presumably caused by the salmon farms, like so many rivers round there) but have heard some quite good reports of the Carnach(?) at Camusrory, so perhaps it's on its way back. Are there any sea trout? It had a reputation for big ones - well into double figures - especially from the loch.
