WG digressing a bit - research shows that 20% DEET works better than the stronger concentrations.

So how many emailed.
I've already had a response from SEPA saying they have even had one from the Bahamas - saying "fiching mossies, I need water levels updates and quickly - fur Carron an Laggan on the Habamas please." from Pistol Pete
They are currently putting Pistol Pete through the enigma machine and have narrowed it down to Strongbow Willie.

Lets hope that the redds are not disturbed too much - the Spey fishers need more of the 'big fish' for '08, '09, & '10! Mike

Bonefish are awkward little buggers! An overcast sky with a bit of a breeze is not what you want. Hooked 2 the first one fell off on its own, the second snapped me when my Tesco flats boot was stopping the line going out. I'll write a full report on my return, a postage stamp sized keyboard is not conjusive to long posts.

Malcom, get the guide to take your photo in all your flats kit and we'll have a good laugh we'll use it for a caption competition.

I already look like the love child of a belisha beacon and a panda, with a topigraghical lunar map superimposed. The mossies are like small birds.

Bonefish are awkward little buggers! The words pot and kettle quicky come to mind, Let us know when you get a big Boner, and dont stroke or strike it ,as it may all end prematurely

Sounds tough, but keep at it Malcom. This is what a friend caught on his last trip to the Bahamas:

RESPONSE FROM SEPA INFORMATION OFFICER (SIC) Good morning Thank yo for your email. Please find the link to the SEPA river levels website which will explain the limitations of the system: www.sepa.org.uk/data/river_levels/index.htmRegards Kevin Paterson SEPA Access to Information Administrator First and foremost I'd put this through a Willie Gunn spellchucker - my name is not yet YO. The link states a lot of bleat about their hardware being needily updated and the unreliability of BT links - all waffle - if you can do a report every 12 hours then you can do one every 6 hours as long as it is automated, but they are not even guranteeing anything - nothing in terms of timescale - a big fat ZERO to SEPA for effort. It appears to me that Fishtweed website may be more up to date than SEPA's own websites - anyone else any experience of this. The limitations of the system is that it is outdated at the moment and forsaking a determined effort to satisfy relevant sectors of the public it could be improved with little capital investment. Needs a good computer geek to go through them like a vindaloo. Any comments ? M
