In appreciation of the loyal support from the membership, and as we have been running this forum for the past two months or so, we are now proposing:
An Introductory & Free Prize Draw for all the members (except admin & advisors).
The form of the Draw will be:
A. Only registered members can enter, and Admin & advisors/moderators ineligible.
B. Registered members must have posted a minimum number of 10 fishing-related posts on the board by the date of closure of entries, set as 31st December 2007.
C. Each member must register their individual interest in this by replying on the Prize Draw thread.
D. At midnight 31st December 2007, the entries for the Introductory Free Prize Draw will end, and all eligible members at that time collated.
E. Although there are several prizes, only one prize can be won by any individual member or person, thus, after each name is drawn, that name cannot be re-drawn for any further prize.
F. The draw itself will be undertaken randomly by the administration team as soon after the 31st December as practical, and the winners list announced immediately thereafter.
G. The prizes will be posted to the winners as soon as practical at the start of the New Year, and certainly should be received in time for the opening season for most salmon waters.
The prizes will include:
Note the addition of a 15' fly rod,
and an extra Sporting Print:
Two Rod days Spring fishing on the Tay
Three separate prizes of Sporting Prints (worth £80 each) from the wildlife artist Alan Hayman (whose work can be seen at www.glenlyongallery.com )

A Simms Waderbag worth £30
An Airflo Polyleader (salmon) set worth £25
Pair of Polarised Sunglasses – worth £23
Two separate prizes of a set of Flies –
a. 6 flies of the winner’s choice from either the current Step-by-Steps or from the recently completed Fly Swap worth ~£15
b. 6 flies tied by a mystery tyer
A lot plastic fly tying tubes worth ~£15
A selection of Fox fur (a range of popular colours) in sections for fly tying worth ~£15
A pair of Neoprene fishing gloves worth ~£15
Leader material a choice of Seaguar/Maxima/Yo-Zuri to the value of ~£12
A Thinsulate Beanie hat – value £8
It should be noted that this will be the first of several Offers on this forum, and fishing-related items have already been secured to be offered as further prizes for further events, as well as Charity Auctions to generate funds for worthy fishing-related causes, such as the Tay Catchment Project.
Remember, you may need to Register, post, and definitely you will need to register your interest here on this thread.
Good luck to all entrants.
