I hope this will not anger/embarass Malcolm (Tweedcast), and I will delete it if he wishes. This was posted by Tweedy months ago and has quietly sunk away. Personally I feel it is such a great piece of work that it needed resurrecting so that people new to the forum can see and enjoy it. Some great photo's of the Deveron at Forglen, bringing back many fantastic memories. I fished there almost every day in 1980 when it was owned by the Abercrombie family and head Ghillie was Jonathon Taylor, who taught me a great deal about fishing and life in general - truly happy days. The Banff stream was on of my favourite pools and to follow on in the evening the stable-flats was an excellent sea-trout pool. Great Site Malcolm - I look forward to your next trip.

Thanks for the plink Robbie - feels better than a spliff as apparently the kids round here say ?
SG, I met Jonathon Taylor on several trips as a laddie - A true Gentleman. Later years he only used a 303 (I exagerated) brass cartridge shell converted to a spinning devon to fish with. Always perfectly dressed in plus 4's and would have graced the Carron stand at Kelso. Would be good to compare notes.
I'll update my site before Christmas but will not commit to which year. This year has been so busy on the fishing front. I'm enthused to have met some great chaps from this forum again and new this year, you all know who you are.
I'm not sorry for my recent deviations on the forum - I see the close season as a time for "jockularity" and spell checking. I saw another bad bad spello today but dare not say a thing - I am already a parentless jackdaw or something for just trying to help the partially minded. Also I heard of some-one who posted an image of a seal bite on his arm, they used to shoot them didn't they ? the seals that is. Good job thats no longer form. Apparently tried to say it was a midgie bite - must have pressed the hash key by mistake !
Can members kindly recommend a line strategy for my Sage 15' Z-Axis which some weirdos decided to give me as a present so I can dap on the upper Tweed. It is a tip action 10 rated rod and is quite light. Bogyoch put a 10 Monteith on it for an hour in November and scooby doo the line went shooting out - then I had a shottie - yuk.

Excellent site and photos Malcolm. As for the rod, trade it in and get a proper one. ;D
