Warm wet summers can be very good for salmon fishing because there is often a steady stream of water to top up the rivers. I am hoping that April and May will be very good.
Mind you, it can be crap for the rest of the family especially during school holidays ;D

As long as its not like last summer- remember that ?? Up and doon like the proverbial hoors draar's for weeks on end !! Certainly the case on the Angus Esk's - and they're spate rivers !! The amount of sea trout nights I lost was ridiculous !!

In Wales we've had 2 extremes, drought through 06 , high water throught 07. That Beeb forecast looks okay , I'll take that please.

I agree the beeb forecast sounds pretty good for us anglers - knowing our luck, we'll get the drought in the autumn instead!
