Reports of a properly weighed and photographed 41lber caught from Diglis weir pool on the Severn. seatroutfishing.proboards34.com/?board=reports&action=display&thread=3687&page=5 see penultimate post on the page. Stumpy is a very experienced and highly respected Severn angler. The average weight of the fish off the river so far has been around 17lb. doh! you've got to register to read the river reports, sorry.

According to craig's report on the Sea trout forum pics do exist so hopefully won't have too long to wait. By my reckoning the Severn system has already produced thirteen 20lb plus fish so far this season

Great news Tom, perhaps I should be heading south tomorrow, instead of north to the Tweed!

Great news Tom, perhaps I should be heading south tomorrow, instead of north to the Tweed! John, Looks like you did fine travellig north. well done on the fish! The pictures of the 41lber were taken on an old fashioned 'proper' camera and are being developed at the moment. The fish was witnessed measured and digital scales were used. Seeing as the length of the fish is reported as 48 inches there may be a case for getting the scales checked as 41lb is very much on the light end of 48 inches. Don't know how the Diglis club will publicise. Tom
