Can anyone give me an idea of a product that can be used for top coating lures? if any of you make your own devons what do you use as a top coat to make then robust?

Have used various varnishes in the past, but mainly Humbrol clear, which comes in small tins.
Even tried yacht varnish, but it's thick and not easy to apply with a small brush.

A guy who used to live near me made Devon minnows commercially, he used to finish them off with clear two part epoxy resin, I think it was Devcon he used. It is a bit of a scutter to use, you can only do one at once as it sets quite quickly, but it is very durable.

Two coats of good quality Poly-Eurothane varnish from any trade shop...Just make sure the surface being coated is dry.. and leave for 24 hrs before recoating...
