I have a couple of spare days before my next scheduled visit to the Spey so i'm looking for some ideas on where would be worth a cast for a day or two.
Anyone got any ideas?
I'm tempted to be really adventurous and try and book a couple of days on the Speymouth AA water!

Certainly worth a day if the water remains low. The Findhorn at Forres is another option.

The water is low at the moment and there are one or two fish being taken. It can be one of the best places to fish on the Spey in low water in July and August. I have been a member for years and I do pretty well. They do allow spinning if the water is very big.

I have only fished here since the mid eighties I was lucky as I only waited a couple of years to get a Finnoch ticket and a September salmon ticket. I am not very good with names but I would probably spoken to them. It is hard to get a permit unless your local to the area and the you will get one the February after moving here. There are a few who have bought house to get a permit. To get a day ticket is always difficult for the last week in July and August as the fishing can be excellent. There is a party from Linconshire come for two to three weeks every August and the do very well. Ihope you get one the cost £60 a day the top of our water will cost over a £100 in September as it goes to the Castle.
