I have several of these Eumer tube fly boxes, and I can strongly recommend them to those who have tubes to store & have ready access to these at the riverside.
You can see that each box will take 36 tubes, 6 each on the 6 spindles, and the foam half for hooks or hooked flies.
Overall, probably the best tube fly box currently available, and well worth the ££

I don't get free P&P if I use that link. Rob, As a 'careful' Scotsman, I contacted Neil by Pm first and my boxes are now on the way - Free P&P............... The boxes are a superb deal and the 3 flies and additional bonus. Thanks again Neil.

As an even more carefull Scotsman I see you can buy 2 Oz Tobaco tins on Ebay for about a fiver. Stick some foam on the lid for the hooks. Perfect

Thanks for the box Angus Angling, excellent service and a couple of tubes thrown in as well I expect my catch rate to increase dramatically in 2009 as I might be able to find the tube I am after in minutes rather than hours. Builnacraig

Are the sticky out handles robust ? TC These 'sticky out handles' are robust, but may be considered a 'weak' point in the design of the boxes, as they are quite 'sticky out'! As there are 6 of these handles (one per row), and situated at either ends of one side of the box, then one could anticipate that such external 'irregularities' of form could lead to catching of those protrusions during placing the box in the pocket or retrieving the box from the pocket of your jacket. I don't see an easy ( and robust) modification to the boxes to eliminate these handles, but an internal handle (a longer metal pin fixed as per the other tube pins) is a possibility. I suspect that such a modification may appear in mark II of such boxes. Mike

An internal wheel as on the back of a digital clock would be an improvement IMO. TC is quite right to identify the external spindles as a potential nuisance and weak point, time will tell.
I also noticed that the tube lining had come detached from both the tubes supplied (free of charge). The tube needles obviously take quite a grip on the lining, not a problem if spinning your own tubes as I am sure the lining would be well flared during construction.
Despite that the boxes should be a good addition to the fly fishing paraphernalia.

Builnacraig I thought maybe just use the first tube to help rotate, kept simple as possible, maybe over-sopisticated with the sticky out handles. TC
