I have a spare rod for the Lower Kinnaird Beat on the Tay. I have not booked the day yet but it is to be taken before the end of April - will agree with the winning "donator". (probably best taken as late as possible/late as is available).
This is one of a number of things that I have bought and paid for at the Tay Ghillies Auction so a double result for the Tay. (So officially you are not bidding for the fishing, you will be fishing as my "guest").
The day will go to the highest donation also at 5PM on Wed this week. I will also throw in lunch at the hut provided by the hotel.
Thanks David

great start guys thanks...
Guay - broodstock fishing between Xmas and New Year - reckon I could stun the fish out of the water by breathing on it after a night on the Macallan!! ;D

It's a lovely beat Mike - have you fished there before ?. Got a great "under the wires". I used to fish it fairly frequently when the very dapper Bob Grant was ghillie. Now in the more than capable hands of Jim Tritton and Martin Edgar (ye wouldna want to mess wi Martin) - taken a few fish from that water over the years ....... eh'll tell ye

..Jimmy looks after the lower beat and Martin the upper although I think sometimes they combine the two beats depending on the water height in early season.
Lower (where the rod is for the day) is by far the better fly water - some fantastic pools. Guay is my favourite
The upper has a couple of bits of good fly water - mainly on the Tummel but the rock pool is good if the water is low. Most of the upper beat is fished form the boat - harling/spinning etc. Worth a day out - Martin is good boatman and puts a lot of effort into explaining what pools and lies he is covering, what lure etc to use.
