I like this kind of excitement!! I did'nt pick up on it until just now.
Hornet, be careful with your typing, you say £50 notes, could be any number, Stan might be expecting a fortune from you. That "s" makes a difference. I will make out a certificate and letter (which you can use as an receipt) when money reaches Aberfeldy.
I will make out a certificate to whoever the successful bidder is, although as the actual donator, guay will get credited in the accounts for his rod and have a certificate too.

Sorry VC, I should have detailed my post like this, I would like to donate £50.00 pounds sterling to the Gauy 2008 Auction 1 for the TWCP. Hope this is ok. A simple receipt from Guay or in the hipper of VC as Stp mentioned will suffice. ;D Cheers Hornet

wow this is great - ;D
we said we would keep this going until 11th Feb and with the fishing and lesson this is fantastic.
With the few things we auctioned off at the end of the year members of this forum donated 570 quid to TWCP (not including the many personal donations I know some members have also made). With this auction at 50 from Hornet plus the ongoing bids for the rod etc we are going to end up with a stonking total whatever happens.
Just to keep things on the up, I'll add a tenner to the current highest bid and take it up over the 200 quid mark
cheers

Just having a quick look through fundraising spreadsheets, including the £200 on rod here plus £50 from Hornet, current members of this forum have donated £950 to date........... See how the little bits add up. Total just now stands at £45,705, or 63% of total, although a couple of thousand of that yet to bank. We are currently striking a plan to raise the remainder. We will not be re-starting main survey work until 1st May, and currently have enough to get us half way through the summer. I expect to have the fundraising knocked on the head by 1st June or so, but we will take it as it comes...... VC

VC, I'm sure we can come up with a few more good options to raise money - Stan has really spiced this one up by not only donating his rod but also a lesson and some fishing.... Sorry never managed to get up to Aberfeldy to a chat before starting my new job but I'll be around next weekend for a catch-up if you are around?? cheers

Victor et David, well done!!!! these figures are truly impressive , just a quick re-cap as even I'm starting to get confused now, the bidding on the rod now stands at £209 with David (although dinna tell his missus!!) ;D ;D ;D plus horney's generous 50 squids!!...................I think thats correct so far?, well done to all of you ;D ;D ;D, my best advice to anyone who has not bid yet is at sometime over the weekend, get 2 bottles of a nice red wine down yer neck or indeed something more tasty, Dubonnet, Pimms, Pony, or even a good vintage Buckie!!!!, whatever turns you on, preferably around 11pm, then check your conscience, log on to the Auction and see what happens ;D ;D ;D Deep Regards Stan
