I have used cabelas and they are very efficient Your parcel gets tracked through every check point and the system automatically emails you with the details.
I am pretty certain the spools are interchangeable. I bought my first SA S2 1011 in Alaska. The solid design on reel back and spools. The next was a later model I bought in Banchory and the spools are totally interchangeable. My American purchase has the smaller reel foot and my British S2 has a slight larger one.
All the reels are made in England but I never see them sold anywhere anymore. Are they discontinued in the UK? I also like the Magnum 200D which is a great solid reel for the money. The sort of thing you put behind the wheels of your car when you break down on a hill ;D

Years ago T&S (I think) published a neat improvement to the S2 reels.
You take it to bits and fit the brake disc on a bolt with a pair of nuts to lock it against the bolt head. Put this in an electric drill chuck and polish the disc with a very mild abrasive....I used finest valve grinding paste and then a jeweller's rouge bar. Clean well and reassemble. This makes the drag sooooo smooth!
The System 3 reel is a whole lot better a reel. Made by a proper machine shop (API in New York) to a standard as good as any top reel maker they were produced for a short time only. They usually came with a spare spool. They were made for a vice president of 3M (the parent company of System 2 etc) as a world class Tarpon reel. Other than being very rare the only thing nasty is the colour, a lusterous ruby red annodised finish.
