"A guid New Year tae ane an' aw’, An' mony may ye see! An' durin’ aw’ the years tae come, O happy may ye be! An' may ye ne'er hae cause tae mourn, Tae sigh or shed a tear! Tae ane an' aw’, baith great an' sma’, A hearty, Guid New Year! "
Better get the shortie, turkey hough and hedgehogs sorted just incase there's a chap at the door later.
Best wishes for the forthcoming season to all.

Happy New Year, I see the first Salmon of 2012 has already been killed landed in Ireland. Correct (with the modification) as the 1st fish of the year (8lb) was released after capture from the Liffey @ 0945am today - it was the second fish (also 8lb) from the Drowes @ midday which didn't make it to the remaining gene pool Hopefully, this 50% 'official' C&R rate will be maintained throughout Ireland for the rest of 2012 - but I somehow doubt it! Education of this sort seems to be a very slow process over there. Mike
