Following on from Tweedcast's entertaining and highly enlightening thread, "Explain Your Name", how about letting us in on what you would "Change Your Name" to if you had to do so quickly and under cover of darkness Since we have all been involved in this 'lark' for a wee whiley now, I am sure we have all thought at some point "that's a brullyint name - weesht I'd called masel that !" ........ maybe not ...... maybe I am deluding myself into thinking there is a semi decent 'thread' here C'mon - even the guy's who have kept, more or less, their name names would have thought about something a bit more Ali G (not Gowans) in a moment of reckless fantasy at some point ....... surely For me - I quite fancy something like ..... Shootin Head : Tub 'O Worms : Trundle Bunny : Aunty Reverse / Kink, Barbless Barbie or Bouncin Betty (for a babe) : Big Tube : The Beatmaster : River Juice : Fankle Face : The Netsman (potential troublemakers only need apply) : Toe Fisher (a posh Tay fisher) : Big Toby : Spare Spool : Loop 2 Loop : Rod Holder : Howking Henry : Tail Raker (like that) : Carefully Returned (nice ) : Butt Ring : Single Fish : Baggot Pus ........ ye get the picter You never know - this thread could be touted as an "in-house resource available to NEW members who, for a variety of reasons, cant come up with something semi 'decent' themselves" - (bless ) - kind of like a list of free personalised plates - git me Think about it - no rush - crackers only please ;D

Robbie's already changed my name - to "The Auld Grey Heron", nothing to do with my fishing prowess, you understand, just the auld git standing at the river waiting fur a passing fuishie!

"The Auld Grey Heron" - thats a goer - add it to the list. There's a potential member 'out there' with his name on that one - sterling work as always Mike. Maybe "The Auld Grey Hen" would be better for the robmeister himself

Sorry Mike - Hornet is perfectly correct in his use of the Glesca vernacular on this occasion. Being an Aberdonian it would be a perfectly logical assumption for you to make. An example of the correct usage of your interpretation of "ya bass" could be illustrated as follows - "Weegie's rule this river ya bass" or "That weegie lost me a fish ... ya bass". Alternatively,"Weegie Bass" - in the context of Hornet's usage - would be used thus ..... " See him ?, the boy that just got the twenty punder ? ..... weegie bass" or " Whaus that fella wi the snakes ? ..... weegie bass !". Hornet's usage was a 'descriptor' as opposed to an 'exclaimator'. Hope that helps. STip ps sorry mike - hit the modify button by mistake

Some good stuff there lads - new members will be spoiled for choice methinks. Urarseness + Tree Catcher (nep) : 1st Doon (TC) : Sagerage - Looplicker (H) ..... all 'handles' to die for - or should that just be 'intensive care'. PS - Scotty ...... "Dave" ? - like it
