Has anyone any experience with electrode spacing distances for logie fish counters? Considering the 3 stainless electrodes would be 50mm wide flat bar, what should the spacing distance between them be(centre to centre) I was thinking around the 280mm - 300mm for Sea Trout and 500mm for Salmon. Would there be an optimum electrode distance that would cover both Sea Trout and Salmon with the same spacings.
Any comments would be appreciated.

:)You won't need a Fish counter, just phone the Joe Yule (ugie netting station ) and he will tell you exactly how much fish used to go up river. !Ha Ha

After various discussions it has been decided to try fitting 2 sets of 3 electrodes over a 2440mm downward slope on the crump weir, Sea Trout electrode spacings at 250mm and Salmon electrode spacings at 450mm. Not sure if this setup has been tried before but will give it a go.

Where have you built the counter Dougie? Is that the sill at the tail of Potsunken? Hello Graham, the electrode module is fitted into the existing fish pass crump weir at Balmoor pumping station dam.

I recognize it now Dougie, the trees have fairly grown in the years since I was last down there. It will be interesting to hear of how many fish go over the counter, I always suspected that a lot more fish ran the Ugie than many people thought.
