I'm now organised for a trip to the Ayakulik River on Kodiak Island in Alaska. Has anyone been there? We plan to tackle the kings, sockeye and maybe a steelhead.
Rods and reels are not an issue as we can use our gear that we use here.....but flies? Can anyone recommend a good pacific fly dealer/ tyer/ shop?

I would imagine that the same flies that work for these species in British Columbia i.e 'anything with pink in it' would work in Alaska. I am sure that the lodge where you are staying, if it does not have a supply of flies/lures available for guests to use or buy, would be able to point you in the right direction.Failing that you could try this link www.alaskaflyfishinggoods.com/silver-salmon-flies/view-all-products.html
