What has happened this year. Usually there are photos of fishers wasting the water of life by throwing it in the river. Other than one photo of a gent standing below a bridge nothing. No mention of it in the forms either. Has fishing become a taboo subject. Bob

Hi Bob. Lots of TV coverage regarding the reinstatement (supposedly) of the Garry. Photos in most local papers today. www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/news/local/perth-kinross/349900/photos-anglers-force-first-day-river-tay-fishing/I was fortunate enough to be 'out' yesterday - I will post shortly in a separate thread. The overhead conditions were unseasonably mild - almost pleasant in fact. The water was in decent condition but had risen a foot or so overnight. I'm sure you know that a couple were caught at Meikleour - one from the bank another from the boat - one apiece for Dunkeld House, Farleyer and the loch. Considering the conditions I would have expected a couple more at least. The rest of the week is to remain benign. It will be interesting to see if fishers benefit as a result. Early days.
