Is anyone following the Ashes? Its BBC website for updates for me nowadays. Pretty happy with 183-3 when I woke up, but that quickly turned to 190-4. It would be nice to get away from the GABA 0-0 at least!

All went pear shaped last night, never good to start the series 1-0 down. The bowling attack looks very weak, slower than the Aussies and Moeen seems a bit out of form. To be honest i think we lost this test when we let them get from 209-7 to 328 all out, we didn't knock the tail over quickly so we didn't have the first innings lead that the earlier efforts deserved.

Jan, I agree. "Resting" Anderson when the tail where in...Not quite the tactics the Aussies employed against ours!

Nice to see a couple of English centuries at last but I fear Smith will top that with a double ton!

Nice to see a couple of English centuries at last but I fear Smith will top that with a double ton! Alas, that's all Greek to me Rob. Now, had it been something like, "Did ye see that penalty man, like ken, that wiz nivver a feckin penalty, the boy was pure dead hammin it up 'n that, ken ?". Now that I understand. Clearly a mix of geographical / cutural issues at odds here. First time I have ever used a 'smily' BTW.

I see Celtic finally lost! 4:0 to the Jambo’s. Rogers out!!

Sixty-nine games unbeaten in domestic fixtures - a UK record I believe. Agree, Rodgers must go !!
