Some fish being caught, but does it say something about the fish in the North Esk, that a 6lb springer was caught, whereas the Tay, Findhorn and Tweed get 15 and 20lb fish, the Esk fish are not getting the same good feeding at sea that's for sure.

There does seem to be very few fish being caught, I shall not be bothering the Spring fish let them run in peace till the Grilse and Sea Trout hopefully run

Is Geordie Stewart still on Burnmouth?? Yes. Alive and well and still doing a bit of boat work for owner Mike Smith by all accounts.

Not heard of any fish from the South Esk, but looking at those beats on fishpal, not many rods being taken. Edzell had a couple today on the Northie to go with a couple from the Gallery earlier in the week. Canterland have also had a few, not many being reported, with anglers not getting a pull or seeing any fish, given a bit of water I would have thought a few more might be around.

I am on East Haugh for three days next week. First outing for nearly two years. Should be interesting.

It seems fish are very few and far between, but a river that rarely gets a mention, the Ericht, is getting a few. West Grange had 5 last month and two yesterday. I have fished it for the trout but never the Salmon, I might see if I can get on there when the Grilse are running.

Our trip to the Tummel was very enjoyable. We managed to hook, and loose three fish. Not a lot showing, they seem to be getting them up at the dam.๐

This past week has seen an improvement on most rivers apart from my local South Esk that has had two fish from Finavon I think.

Well, unfortunately the Kercock trip was a disaster. Nine rods, four days, not a fish seen. Most days we were entertained by a seal which apparently has slowly been working its way upriver. At least the night time company was first class. Let's hope things improve, I'm on Stobhall in three weeks. .
