Every flee 'chosen' with the skill of a Dickensian child pickpocket. The pinks (and purples ) are in the 'special' box Mike - I would have to kill everyone on the forum if they were to have sight of them - I am sure you know what I mean. Local flee's for local people. STip

Conwyrod i fish around north wales. The white muddler fished wet on the dropper or as a surface lure is usually one of my top three flies, along with the stoats tail and teal blue and silver.

I now suspect those white muddlers were purchased from a Mr A Foxon, as are mine!
Arthur started to use a white muddler when he saw a lot of white moths on the Cefn beat of the Elwy. He caught a few fish on them, before putting their price up. ;D

Hi all, first attempt at posting a few pics, so apologies in advance re photo quality, didn’t realise how hard it was to get accurate, clear photos tho’ it may be for the best as it hides my shortcomings on the tying front. Current contents of my fly box Also use standard Irish shrimps and the typical Scottish patterns (Ally’s, Cascade, Stoats Tail, PBP etc), any criticism or comments would be welcome. Tight lines to all

Hi Irish - "criticisms" - none. "Comments" - good to see the inside of a 'man's' flee box, especially an Irishman's - can almost smell the river looking at that top pic. BTW - yer foties are fine so they are regards STip

Superb collection of flees there, CB. & so neatly laid out in their respective boxes & covering all the bases. Sure puts my overstuffed & messy boxes to shame! Sets a standard which others may attempt to emulate Mike

Clydebuilt - we are not worthy. Would like to meet up one day and at least have the opportunity of mounting a serious challenge for the 'tidy' title. Of course, we would have to set some guidelines ..... groupings of colour, size, seasonal etc By coincidence, I actually killed a couple of hours last week tidying up a friends flee boxes as we awaited the onslaught darkness - it was either that or our usual pastime of trying to sneak up on heron's. Perhaps we could offer a 'flee box refurbishment' service to forum members at the end of the season - could be a couple of flee's in it for us. STip

That is, before 'Tip gets hold my boxes, and after they have been 'sorted', of course in the process, removing any flies I "really don't need"!!! ;D ;D ;D Mike

Behave !! IF, and I mean IF, (bearing in mind the vast amounts of flee's involved here) we were to attempt a makeover stunt on the Ducer's boxes we would, in all probability, need an e-bay account, a pair of shades (each), an abacus or similar counting device and the use of a small skip. Sorry guy's - tempus fugit - got a hot date with a falling spate river and the probability of an 'allnighter' ahead of me. regards STip

Cheers Hornet Thanks for the comments guys, as to favourites....I fish the innocous looking white and yellow shrimp fly with great confidencein slower water and also the long hackle-tip winged fly loosely following the Kylie dressing in faster water where the hackle tip quivers nicely, these two would be first choice everytime. The Cascade has also been a cracking fly for me but have gone off it a bit at the moment??? think we were seeing too much of each other.
