Its a pity you have not been able to make it Ross, the snow is causing quite a few problems in the Huntly area. The Deeside road is not too bad this morning, just spoke to someone who drove into Aberdeen from Aboyne and he said there is only a couple of inches of snow and the roads are not too bad.

As Graham says Ross its a pity you never made it today. I would like to think Stuart has, as the main Deeside road was not too bad this morning, according to some of the guys I work with who made it in from Aboyne. Lots of others from the North side of Aberdeen have failed to turn up though due to the conditions.

Heres a few pictures from Speyside. Front door cleared. Easter Bar b Q anyone? Chez Duffer. New stick shed. The middle Spey has snow-grue and most of the roads are impassable even with a 4X4. I turned back on the A95 today at Tormor, an optimist in a Mercedes Van asked me whether he could get through.........umm big 4X4 and off road tyres or Merc Van and road tyres. Why do drivers think it is necessary to drive with their hazzard lights on? Or is it an accurate self assessment?

Stuart, Pity that the river was unfishable after the effort of getting up there - looks like I made the right choice - wouldn't have taken the chance anyway - like you say, always next time.
Malcolm, Just a 'wee dusting' again I see - any sign of it letting up today??
Ross.

It has all melted here along the coast, the smaller coastal rivers such as the Ythan and Ugie are in full spate and very dirty.

This one's for you James - enjoy. Guess I had better take some extra wine in case levels stop play! Guid chance a gutter clearing, log chapping, heavy drinking, domino playing squad of 'travelers' will be looking for work in / around the Archiestown area next week - the unacceptable face of Bob-A-Job springs to mind. A slow thaw please.

"This is the continuing story of Peyton Place." Rodney is startled to find his father Leslie (Paul Langton) in a passionate embrace with his secretary Julie Anderson (Kasey Rogers), the mother of Rodney's girlfriend Betty (Barbara Parkins). Confused, Rodney tells Betty he cannot date her anymore and begins to see Allison instead. Betty, confused and hurt because he offered no reason for breaking up with her, discovers she is pregnant and tells Rodney. He agrees to marry her, and when Betty miscarries their child, she does not tell him until after they are wed. However, they soon find out they are not meant to be together and file for divorce.Sounds more complicated than the Archie storyline in Eastenders. I was only a bairn, but I remember my dear Mum loved that programme. ;D
