It looks very like the Teith but I can't place the pool. Is it the Leny below the falls?

John Gray is the winner guys,
The River is the Leny at the Falls pool, which flows into the River Teith near Callander,it looks like a lot of Highland Rivers. Im sure John Gray will have fished it,thats the reason he got it so quickly after the clue.
The one that amazes me is name the Angler,S/Tip is an absolute certainty to get this one if he looks closely at the anglers sleeves covered in Pent;D
Good Luck

Should have known in an instant who it was James - none other than Mad Billy Bluesleeves - how could I have missed that. The thing I like about your particular "Name The's ...." James is that they are not just simply river identifications - no !, they have transcended that and have become more akin to Chinese puzzles or deciphering Celtic 'runes' ...... ye ken ;D

James - just gone back to "26" and whilst thinking aboot it I have indeed pissed myself whilst getting no closer to naming the 'name' - poor bladder control brought on by identification stress according to my GP. Go and put is oot wir misery - gonnae ? Does their christian name start with an A ?

Who da man ? - Buckie's da man. ! Sorry James - just back from a day on the river and therefore both physically and emotionally drained as only one can be after a 'bank high' January day on the Tay. Must try harder. Good though. STip

STip Hi STip... hope you had a good day. Any action at all? Not sure whether the 'high' you speak of is, high water, high excitement from first day, or maybe even... first salmon high?! highlandfisher

Leny, I've never even heard of that one What's the score with it, booked up years in advance or three hundred day tickets per day at a fiver? Fly only or anything goes? Worth a look when I'm passing that way in early May??? Andy

Hi Heilan Man - certainly not the first "salmon high" - but maybe this week if the water stays settled. Nope !, just good old fashioned lapping the riverbank "high". The kind of 'high' where you just know that any resting fish will, in all probability, be in amongst the 'summer low' bankside paths ...... that kind of high - ken fit eh mean ? STip
