No clues this time. There are a couple on here who should get this straight away. Andy

Looks like the East Dart just above Dartmeet.

The Kelly , up behind Skelmorlie. No, that's another new one on me. I'm sure we'd all be interested in a photo of Kelly up behind Skelmorlie though

Hi Exerod, This photo has been on my mind since you posted it. Just had an email from someone in the locality where the photo was taken asking my which year I thought the photo was taken which vexed my even more. However I have it now! My favourite river, which had a fantastic season last year with the best catch since the sixties. I won't name it now but that is the Hatchery Pool and it is a long way from Skelmorie!! Builnacraig

I think I can make out the pool sign. Judging by the size of the bushes on the left bank I would say either 2004 or 2005. In June.

Close. 03/07/2006.
I think the location has been narrowed down a fair bit now!

Is it the second best salmon system in Lewis?

I had a cast the later on the same day the pics were taken. I managed two and lost another on a 2 inch brass tube. I think 18 fish were taken the following day............I was on Garynahine and had quite a few there. I think I had one out of the Hatchery Pool last season. I fishes well in high water as the fish pause after running the fast water below.

There is a fair bit of water going through there. When I visited Lewis in the late 1980's there hadnt been any real rain for 6 weeks and the Creed was down to a trickle. I had to be content with fishing the trout lochs.
