hey donfish spot on ;D cracking pool that one expected a pull on every cast but got none ;D where do you don fish? i fished mannar and fetterner and really enjoyed the 2 days. no springers but really nice place to wet a line

Tail of millstream pool (Fetternear beat) River Don. Leading onto Upper Garples if my memory serves. Had a few late spring fish from this beat in the mid 90's. 2 crackers both around 15lbs from the run leading to shark-fin rock below the lower garples pool. One negative point of the beat was the state of the banks - completely overgrown but things may have improved now.

it was march i fished it and got the feeling that when summer arrived casting would be tricky to say the least.
