Today is known in the Borders as Mad Friday, what is it called in your part of the world? Firms Christmas Parties, breaking up for a fortnights holidays. I am just about to exit to one of those events but would appreciate advice albeit in retrospect about how to survive as I guess tomorrow could well be sorry Saturday Yours in soberiety Tweedsider

How to survive ? .... similar to a fishing day, it is important to pace yourself. Try to avoid steaming right into the double voddie's in much the same way as you would never dream of steaming into a pool without considering the consequences. Stick to Creamola Foam or perhaps a small glass of fortified wine - but dont mix both. As with fishing companions, try to get in with a good crowd at your 'do'. Avoid ginger haired youths with ill fitting shirts and nervous twitches. Thereafter ....... just hing on tae yer ha'penny, keep enough back for a taxi (or a bed fir the nicht) and should there be any real bathir (mind now !) ....."it was the troot fishers wot done it". Yours aye STip

Cheers stip back home safe and sound, never touched the cremola foam cause I consider that is what causes sair heids. Fit and well despite encountering a shifty eyed individual claiming to be SK who I know for a fact will at this very moment- 6.45 be tucked up in bed with his teddy and horlicks.
Regards for the festive Tweedsider
