I have a line (fast sinking SH) and rod combination which is just perfect when doing the Single Spey. However the same combination does not work very well when using the Double Spey, the line as a matter of fast it seems to under-load the same rod.
On the other end, I have another rod and line (again a fast sinking SH) which is great when doing the Double Spey, but the rod seems overloaded when using the Single Spey.
Does it makes sense?
Thanks in advance.

I think that an experienced caster would have to watch you casting to understand what is happening. I'm not a casting expert, but factors such as length of line outside the rod tip, shape of your D loop, anchor length on the water and your casting dynamics/ability could all be relevant.

Hello,
It length and power of the cane, and the weight of the line and the length of the head, This will give an idea of the problem
