Been trying my wee century with a mackenzie 9/10 multi tip SH line and not really casting as I would expect it too maybe just me or even tho the 9/10 multi tip is 42grams its profile is not correct to load the wee century properly. I have been advised that perhaps an afs tracker 10/11 or a mackenzie 56ft spey line in the 10/11 seem to load the rod better and get the best out of it. I would appreciate any advise or comments about what lines would be best to try. But I did manage to get the fly in front of a nice wee minted grilse yesterday around the 6lb mark so I know the rod takes a nice bend witha fish attached lol.

Hi Minnow man, I recently went to replace my original Rio AFS and went for the new Mackenzie SH floater 9/10 and have to say was very disappointed with it. I took it back and changed it for the new Rio Scandie 10 floater and it is different class. I use it on my 14ft B & W Powerlite here on Stinchar and also on my 15ft Mackenzie when on the Tay and it is a dream with both rods. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. SL
