Hi John,
Tain is not a bad place, went to Tain Royal Academy myself! Have you applied to join the Kyle of Sutherland club? Winkie in Macleods is or was the secretary and would keep you right.

Hi Brian, Thanks for info on the kyle, always felt it was too big for me and would be a chuck and chance it afair. I'm probably quite wrong of course, never fished it and your opinion on it would be much appreciated. I've just been told that lot's of members in Alness club don't renew so have applied with view to next season. Used to holiday in Daily near Girvan, much later was offered a day on the Girvan but couldn't take it up. John

John, the Kyle can be excellent, there are bits where salmon are the main target and other areas where the sea trout fishing is prolific. My brother fishes there and is very successful, he'd keep you right if you joined. I would if I were you!

I have just joined and am already enjoying the wealth of info. I am not quite clear on where to look for a reply to a question that I have posted. Is there a note anywhere on how to use the forum (the techinical bit)? I am fishing on the Nith in mid October

Is there a note anywhere on how to use the forum (the techinical bit)? I am fishing on the Nith in mid October I find the best way to browse this forum is to use the New Topics link underneath the forum banner. This way you do not miss any new posts (including replies to your question). Alternatively use this link and save it as a favourite: salmo.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=newestthreads
