Hi to everyone. I am Alex and have fished for salmon for a few years now on the River Derwent in Cumbria, I also fish on the Nith and Annan taking odd days on them. I have just come across this forum, tight lines to everyone for the 2014 season
Welcome to the forum Alex. Hope you enjoy the wealth of information on here.
Deep down, I knew that scuba diving wasn't for me.
I´m a from an indigenous salmon fishing culture, and have been fishing salmon since I learned to walk. Nowadays my passion has turned into a profession as a ghillie here in northern Scandinavia. Cool to tap into other peoples experiences in salmon fishing.
Hello Hansa. Welcome aboard. Thanks for taking the time to register and post. Feel free to let us know how the salmon fishing is going in your part of the world and we will try to do likewise.
Hopefully there will be more to see once the Scottish season fully gets under-way in the coming weeks. In the meantime please enjoy our extensive library of picture threads covering most of the beats on most of the noteworthy UK rivers. Skol ! Andy
