It is only a short clip. The person hasn't logged on for a few days so have not had a response.

Where has my post gone? Why has it been deleted? I was lead to believe this board promoted freedom of speach as long as it didnt break proboard rules. There was a lot of talk about this board being different to others but it looks the same to me. Threatening PM's from the Admin and then posts deleted. My origional post read as follows, what is so wrong with it Sounds like a bit of an MI5 story fruit onld bean Porkies methinks Is this board no better than the ones that it was meant to replace Pot and Kettle spring to mind A very worried rover This an absolute cracker. I sent you a post because you openly accused one of our members of lying. Here's what I sent: You sent me a PM stating that you had deleted your own post. I will not publish your PM unless you agree but I will share the security log for this morning at 10.26. (Today at 10:26 rover 172.141.240.11 Deleted post titled Re: Main Speycasting Faults posted by rover.) The log is a standard Proboards feature and it is there to show when a member deletes his own post and protects us from daft accusations. Will you allow me to publish your PM in the interest of transparency? salmo

Salmondan Sorry not 100% sure what jock told you: dip the tip or always keep it rising? 'Dipping the tip' (imho) is the second major cast killer, the first is poor anchor placement as has been noted above. When you're moving your rod tip back (to prepare for the forward cast-form the "D Loop) think of drawing the letter "J" with the rod tip. Or as I refer to it as 'poking a hole in the sky.' What this does is increase the space below the rod tip for the formation of the "D Loop." Hope the above makes some sort of sense to readers out there.

Imho dipping the tip slightly does not kill the cast and one can still form a perfectly straight anchor with a slight dip, everything evens itself out and the main reason why you can dip slightly and still cast well is the pull out of the dip. As long as the pull out of a slight dip is made correctly then there is no problem.
