Hi all!
I thought I'd say a wee hello now that I've joined this forum. I live in Angus in Scotland and fish the rivers' Tay, South Esk, Ericht, Isla, and my local river is the Dean.
Hopefully, I'll get to know many of you over time and share some experiences.
All the best the noo.

You're very welcome Musky.
Like the others, I would be very interested to hear of your fishing stories & see some pics of the waters you fish.

Salmonking, I am a mere novice and not worthy of sullying the tales of tails that litter these pages with my hideous tales of woe. I have used the tackle advice to replace my Sage VT2 (an expensive summer rod) with a Meiser Highlander (still awaiting the arrival). As for netting fish,,,,,I think, having knocked off one of the only silver fish to be seen on the Teviot last November (my old boy was very philosophical), netting is best left to the captor or deep sea trawlers. My technical skills on computers do not match my skills at the tying bench or I would post some nice SBS guides (I might not take many salar but I can knock-up a nice fly). Cheers, John.

I am a mere novice and not worthy of sullying the tales of tails that litter these pages with my hideous tales of woe. Apart from Graham Ritchie and the 'boy wonder', "tales of woe" are quite commonplace here and deemed legitimate subject matter. Woe is the new joy !! (havent you heard ?) ..... so feel free and "litter" on Jono m' lad. You might learn something ..... we might learn something - result !! Good to have you on board. regards STip

Hello everybody, I am a 53yo who took early retirement who likes to fish the fly for salmon and trout but is not adverse to fishing the spinner or garden fly when conditions suit. I mostly fish the rivers Doon & Ayr and ocasionally the Stincher.

Evening All, I'm a survivor from Johnste's stag do at dalguise . Been salmon fishing for 2-3yrs or so after i damaged a knee and couldn't climb. Knee's fine now, but would rather fish! Get out on the teviot and stinchar, and the occasional trip to the liddle. regards to you all etc
