cheers Hornet, aye the time off is a plus point for a fishing student, tho apperently nxt year its 9 - 5 mon - fri. could be a struggle. Yeah wouldn't mind a bash at the north esk. Have been there once and saw a fair few fish which was a nice change from the usual 'no fish in this bl00dy pond' mentality i usually have!
Cheers, jack.

You're very welcome, Colin. We look forward to your experienced contributions from time to time... Someone was asking recently about mainland Scottish lochs for salmon fishing - you may perhaps have some more info on this? Mike

Hi Jack,
I have only fished the beats below Edzell. Stracathro, Pert along with Kinnaber which is the first beat on the North.
The middle beats are excellent and have some great fly water. Pert is especially worth a cast, so much so i will be casting a flee on it this coming Monday ;D.
ATB,
Hornet

Hi John, and welcome to '74. Is Dalguise hosting your "stag do" September visit ? If so, it might be beneficial to inform the ghillie in advance as arrangements can be made to have some heavy duty bog roll made available for the party's use - should this be required. Hope you have a good time regardless of where you are fishing but, should you be at DG, in the interests of safety keep the bevvy merchants well clear of the Bridge Pool. regards STip I thought Dalguise has gone tee-total ;D ;D ;D

Hi MC, (or should that be fishing MC? ) You're very welcome here, and as education is a two way process, with teachers also subject to being taught new & otherwise unknown things, we hope that you can share your fishing stories, and share in other's stories & experiences. Techniques, tactics, reviews and news, photies & flies are all here for your use, and commentary. Mike
