I've just driven the length of the South Deeside road, very little water in the river

Looks like the catches for last week have dropped off. Hope you get some rain soon. All the N W rivers are very low.

Some forecast, but I doubt it will lift the rivers as the ground is bone dry again. I'm still hopeful of getting out, but waiting for a lift in the water first.

A small lift in the rivers and a few Sea Trout coming from the South Esk, The Tay had a decent week and a few from the Dee too, I've not been out yet again, CT scan on Thursday and a few other tests due getting in the way.

I hope the Scottish Rivers have benefited from the recent downpours. Most of the rivers here in the North West of England are in raging floods. If nothing arrives after this,it's a very bad sign of the times.

My mates are on their last trip of the season, next week. A week on the Findhorn, at Tomatin. Its a river I've never fished, but hopefully one day.

South Esk rivers are up and still rising, that should help get the fish well into the rivers

My mates on the Findhorn have had a descent week. Three rods, eleven fish. The best estimated in the mid, to high twenties.

They did well, I was due to fish the river, but circumstances were against me and I never did, I believe bits of it are mountain goat country, not for me now.

What a funny old season we have been having, when we get water, we get fish, returns seem to be down, yet there are rods available. Ill health has kept me off the rivers this year, so I have contributed no Salmon to the tally, just finnock on my only day on the river South Esk. I cannot remember in the last decade to see so many rods not booked in October, will the beats lower their prices to encourage more take up of rods? I doubt it.

Same down this part of the world. A lot of the N W rivers have broken their banks. I believe York has bad flooding, again.

Seven feet and still rising in both Esk rivers and it's not stopped raining yet. The Tay is up over 18 feet at Ballathie and still rising.

The Esks have had some decent fish this past week, Gallery had a 20lb 'er, a few from Finavon Castle on the Southie too including an 18lb 'er. still a few Sea Trout too. 56 fish from the Dee up to 22lb and quite a few Sea Trout as well. Plenty of fish in the Tay to 117 fish to 21lb and also fair numbers of Sea Trout too with fish showing right through the river after the recent floods.

I was hoping to get out this week, but the car has to go into the garage, still hopeful to have a cast before the end.
